Education is the birthright of every child. Islam puts considerable emphasis on its followers to acquire knowledge. Investment in education is the best investment one can make, because it eventually leads to intellectual property that no one can steal or tax.
In the Western World and in so called modern institutes in Muslim worlds, the purpose of education is perceived to acquire academic and professional skills that enable one to earn riches and fame, and also a luxurious and comfortable life. While these objectives may not fundamentally contradict the teachings of Islam, however focusing the goals of education solely for the purpose of money making is wrong. Islam lays the highest objective of education than mere means of earning, it rather sets its aim at Character building right from the childhood.
This indeed is the philosophy and the foremost objective behind our HICC Madressah – With a Difference i.e. growth and development of an Islamic personality to be active part of a young generation equipped with leadership skills right from childhood that will help them throughout their academic and professional life in this world and in hereafter.
The Harlesden Islamic Cultural Centre is working to establish the First Ever All-inclusive Islamic Cultural Centre in Brent which will engage and cater for all members of our communities.
Therefore, all the programs at HICC madressah are carefully designed with utmost attention to detail in order to achieve our aforementioned objective and vision. After all, if it’s not cut right, through care and fine skills, a diamond is just but a rough stone.
